The Christmas break (as fun as it is!) can be super challenging for your team, as resources and team members might be limited. Taxi are here for you over this period and we want to help you prepare in advance to ensure a smooth email process - regardless of who is on holiday.

Your Christmas Taxi checklist

Here are a few ways you can prepare your teams and emails for the holidays in advance.

How you can prepare your team in advance:

It's likely over the Christmas period your team will be off, and someone is likely going to be picking up work they don't usually do. If there is a limited team available, make sure everyone working has everything they need to do their job. Here's a few ways you can do this:

  •  Check your team have the right permissions set up
  •  Plan your calendar for who is working and check they have access to Taxi and your Email Service Provider (ESP)
  •  Check your team have all the content they need in advance (that awesome new year's imagery which is in a locked Dropbox folder for example!)
  •  Check all your features are set up correctly with documentation for your team if a team member is away

If you're going away:

If you're planning to go away or take a well deserved break over Christmas, here are a few things you can do to ensure your break isn't interrupted! And if you're planning on working remotely, here are a few considerations:

  •  Planning on working away from home? Make sure you can login whilst travelling by connecting to a secure WiFi network or your VPN
  •  Using 2FA? Check your 2FA is set up correctly on your phone (and is on you!)
  •  Create a shared calendar of who is away for your team, so they know who they can go to if they have any questions.

Keeping your Email Design System (EDS) up to date:

It's a lot easier to be prepared in advance, especially as there are likely to be delays in the New Year getting work started. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  •  Building a new EDS? Book in the work ahead of time so it's ready to get started on in the new year
  •  Book in any changes for your EDS as soon as you can
  •  Start preparing your emails in advance and update your footers to copyright 2021 for the new year - you can automate this with Taxi Syntax
