Awesome marketing campaigns deserve a shoutout; here's a few to take note of!

We are all working in strange times at the moment, but there are a few companies who have adapted their marketing really well. I have picked out a few awesome campaigns which caught my eye and thought deserved some credit!

Time out
"Time out, time in"

Time Out rebranded themselves to Time In last month, with an aim to continue bringing its readers the best music, theatre, film, art, food and drink that London has to offer, without needing to leave your house.

If you get bored, (which we all have been at some point!) take a read of their "80 actually fun things to do at home" blog post, and get some home inspiration to keep you busy and inspired.

Marks and Spencer
"Can I freeze it? Yes you can!"

Marks and Spencer released their campaign "Can I freeze it? Yes you can!" which sent out useful advice to their audience on how to make the most of your fridge and freezer space. I like that they adopted the quick tips method, rather than directly selling. Yes, there is a level of self-promotion, for example they mention that "Around three quarters of our ready prepared meals and more than half our desserts are suitable for freezing". However, the majority of tips can be valid for products you can get in any shop.

McDonald's
"Craving a McMuffin? We got you..."

For those finding themselves craving one of these bad boys, McDonald's came to the rescue via Twitter this weekend. Their famous egg McMuffin recipe was released on Saturday, giving their audience the opportunity to make their own DIY McMuffin from their kitchen. Plus, with easter weekend coming up, what better way to crack on and make yourself an eggscellent breakfast?

Stradivarius
#MusicToStayHome fest

Stradivarius has come up with a few cool marketing campaigns over the past few weeks including #dresstogonowhere and "we're all in this together" to bring together the fashion community. What's good about this particular one? I like how it's reaching beyond the initial retail industry to promote up and coming talent, and using their social handles to do so in a positive way.

Nike
"Play inside, play for the world"

As a global sports brand, Nike have been doing their bit recently. Their "play inside, play for the world" campaign was sent out alongside an announcement that they were making their Nike Training app free of charge. With more time spent inside social distancing, it's encouraging to see brands offer alternative ways to stay healthy even when confined. And as someone who has tried and tested the app, I would recommend downloading it!

That's all for now, but let's continue spreading the marketing love!
