Will, is the Co founder & Chief Technical Officer at Taxi for Email. Without his techy knowledge & skills Taxi would be non existent (and so would we)!

Out of 8.8 million people in London, we are blessed with a handful of people who voluntarily take a trip to Clerkenwell and dedicate their whole day to improving the Taxi brand, deliver exceptional service to our customers and help people make better email.

We would like to introduce you to one of those people, our very own, Will Lahr

How did you find your way to the Taxi team?

Working with Elliot in a past life lead me to the Taxi for Email team, and I've never looked back.

What does a CTO do at Taxi?

My job is to look after the product, and to make sure we’re doing our best to deliver the best experience to our users. My team design and build the product, and look after technical operations. I spend a lot of time talking to other teams in Taxi and with our customers so that we can make good decisions when building the product

What have you learned since joining Taxi?

I’ve learned a lot about the email marketing industry and the people in it. I was surprised at how difficult it can sometimes be for marketers to carry out even very simple tasks, and how much they achieve despite this.

What makes Taxi special as a company?

We’ve been really lucky and found a great team who work well together - ambitious but also friendly

What do you love to do on your day off?

My tastes have changed little since I was an 8 year old, I like boats and castles. I’m more into good food now though.

What’s the most exciting thing going on today?

We’ve been in our current office for a year, so we’re having a party!

Favourite place to visit?

I love New York city for the energy of the place. Taxi is based in London and NYC has that same kind of energy and excitement that you only find in a few big international cities. The food is great too.

Favourite superhero?

Isle-of Mann

Favourite thing to eat?

Pasta - I could feel I live entirely on Pasta (although perhaps this isn’t good nutritional advice)

Favourite quote?

'Facts not opinions’ - David Kirkaldy. This quote is carved above the door of the world’s first purpose built testing works in Southwark.

Your biggest pet peeve?

I don’t like it when supermarkets or motorway services invent their own road signs which don’t follow the design language of proper road signs.
